Episode 2 - Renée French

(Bunny No.1 by Renée French)

In this episode, Thien and Rina have the huge honor of talking comics, Battlestar Galactica, and Formula One racing with the amazing cartoonist and children's book illustrator, Renée French. We also talk Euro comics and Love and Rockets with New Comix Wednesday reporter and cartoonist Josh Frankel. Before all of that though, we first share thoughts about the Minx comics line and the definition of a "Comics Darling". Have a listen!

I'm glad SOMEONE noticed! I've carefully noted the slight in my book of grudges.

Spock IS a hot pocket!

Great show.
My favorite part was French talking about her materials at the end.
The whole show could have used more chip munching, though.

Please separate the interview stuff from the talking stuff in the future because this one host is fucking infuriating. The guy who dismisses Love And Rockets and Krazy Kat, who knows a lot about mediocre minicomics (namedrops Austin English), and likes superhero comics but doesn't remember that Peter Milligan worked with Mike Allred on X-Force.

I guess I should tentatively preemptively apologize because the person I describe is a real person who will read that and whatever. I wanted to make the point that the interview should be separated from the general talking so that there's more of a emphasis on them but as I continue to listen I guess it's mostly just all emphasized on the host people and their personalities, and maybe this whole thing isn't for me.

It is funny that you mention Austin, Brian. Because it is actually the case that Thien doesn't like him either. He talks about it in the previous Comix Claptrap.
